What does our clients say about our service?

Wedding photography by Katsu Nojiri - Dunbar House

When you decide your wedding photographer (s), I believe that you will firstly check their work to see if that is your style or not and most probably whether that is in your budget or not.

Then what would you do after?

When I search something or someone to hire or purchase, I always check their reviews.
So you will know what other people say about their services or products.

Some big companies are easily to be trusted but how about a little business like mine?
You can see a lot of my work on my website or latest photos from Instagram but how about the service?

Can he/she be trusted? How fast would we get your photos? Is he/she reliable? etc..

You will see our latest reviews on our goole map here!

On top on that, we are preferred photographer for Sydney Park Hyatt, Pier One Autograph by Marriott and Grand Pacific Group.

Hope that you now feel comfortable to contact us for your big celebration!

Gay and lesbian wedding photography studio in Sydney

Gay and lesbian wedding photography studio in Sydney

In 2018, we have photographed over 25 LGBTQI weddings just in Sydney.

We really enjoy being part of same sex wedding. It’s definitely fun and a bit of emotional during the ceremony.

And seeing two boys or two girls makes us feel.. Wow.. It’s about time!

As you can see the photo below, it’s just so lovely.
We really hope that people will stop calling Gay Wedding or Same Sex wedding very soon. Because it’s a wedding just like everyone else!

Love is Love! We support Gay & Lesbian (LGBTQI) Wedding!

My destination wedding schedule 2019

Although I am usually based in Sydney Eastern Suburbs, I travel a lot to overseas mostly for wedding photography and some for NY times.

It’s only mid January this year, but so far I am booked for, Malaysia the end of this Month, March for Brazil, May for Japan, June for Israel and July for Vietnam.

I know that it sounds crazy but it’s all happening a lot this year too and love it! This does not include any of domestic travel like Melbourne or QLD.

This also sound crazy but more than half of my Saturdays in 2019 are already booked out.

If you are planning to have your wedding this year, please contact me early!

Thursdays is new Saturdays?

Remember the days, when almost everyone had to get married on Saturdays?

And if someone say, “I am getting married but it will be on Friday” (or Sunday).

We all used to think… “That’s new” or “That’s kinda cool”.

And the next question was “Getting married on Fridays (or Sundays) is cheaper?”

How rude!! It’s not any cheaper to get married on Fridays or Sundays these days.

I am not too sure if that was the reason that people started to get married on Fridays or Sundays.

But hey, now Thursdays must be new Saturdays!
A lot of my clients are getting married on Thursdays, especially in 2020.

Is it just because of the cost to hire the venue or just cool to get married on Thursdays now?

Either way, congratulations to the couples out there!!

Recent Award!

Today I have a big news to share with you all!

I am thrilled to announce that I have been featured in Top 10 Wedding Photographers in Sydney article!!

The award like this means a lot to me.

I have been photographing since 1996 when we were all using the film cameras.

I still can not believe that it has been over 20 years since I did my first wedding for my friend. I still remember the day so clearly and I was so nervous through the day.

I must say that I have always been wedding photographer. Never even thought about being a fashion photographer or landscape photographer ever since.

It’s just because, that I simply enjoy photographing weddings and engaging with all my nice clients.

Thank you so much to the editor Chris from Wedding Diaries for this amazing opportunity.

I am so overwhelmed  and blessed to have so many great people around me.

I will keep shooting to make my clients & myself happy!

Thank you everyone for all your support!

Wedding location that Sydney photographers don’t like

Well, you probably have read “Best Wedding Locations in Sydney” that some people have wrote but how about the wedding locations that we (wedding photographers in general) do not like?

I probably should not generalise as there are some photographers in Sydney out there that might like the locations, so I probably shouldn’t say “we”.

You probably know it but in any photography, the lighting is the most important factors for the best results. Not the models (couples), not the angle, not the compositions or not the backgrounds.

As a wedding photographer myself, I have 100% control of capturing the best results while we are having the location shoots.

How about during the ceremony?

Unfortunately, I can’t stop the ceremony because your expression on your face is not the best or you may have people walking behind during your ceremony but I can’t tell them not to do during the time.
I basically need to photograph whatever it happens during the ceremony .

Same as the lighting, sometimes I know that I can do better if I could shoot from the other side but it means that you won’t have water or flower arches or Harbour Bride or Opera House as background.
Instead, you will have your guests as your background which is not an ideal.

Then one bride asked me the other day if there are wedding locations that I don’t like (or hard to photograph).
Then this location popped out in my head straight away.

That is Hickson Road Reserve for me.

I have photographed weddings there many time in the morning, during the day or late afternoon but I must say that the location has bad lighting through the day. (unless it’s cloudy )

Plus so many tourists are walking pass and stop, or have a little nap on the grass area right at venue. Zzz…

I don’t want to be too negative but if you would like to book me and has not decide the venue yet, please please please avoid the venue for the best result!!

Destination Wedding to Japan!

Destination Wedding to Japan!

Today I have an exciting new to share with you all.

I will be traveling to Japan to photograph traditional Japanese weddings in Kyoto and Tokyo!!

When I say, “Traditional Japanese weddings”, my clients will be wearing traditional Kimono & Hakama (for the boys) and having the ceremony at the shrine.

I will there in the middle of May for two weeks to photograph 2 Japanese weddings and a few wedding magazine shoots also.

Stay tuned!

One thing that I always ask to my clients… Please do me a favour!

When I meet my clients for the first consultation,  there is one favour that I always.

That is to give me a lift from wherever I am starting (usually from the bride’s place or a hotel room) to the ceremony, then to the location shoot and to the reception venue.

It’s almost impossible for us to find the car park especially in Sydney’s CBD during the ceremony and location shoot.

If your wedding is Blue Mountain, Gerringong or Hunter Valley, that is fine but only when you are having your wedding in Sydney.
So I won’t lose you and easy to follow you around all day to photograph your best day.

If you are planning to have your wedding in 2019/2020, please let me know early as more than half of my Saturdays in 2019 are already booked.
